Born From A Love of Going Anywhere
MY STORY
A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME
I want to understand a place, not just visit it.
That usually starts with food—finding what people actually eat, trying something unfamiliar and learning the little rituals around it. But I'm just as interested in everyday life: the neighborhoods, markets, traditions, music and small cultural details that tell you something about where you are.
And before I go anywhere, I learn at least enough of the language to be polite. Hello. Please. Thank you. Excuse me.
The basics that say, I'm visiting your home—of course I'm taking my shoes off at the door.
These days, I can comfortably manage those courtesies in six languages, including ASL—and I'm always working on another.
I travel with plans, but I leave room for curiosity. I'll wander somewhere that wasn't on the itinerary, follow the food, photograph whatever catches my eye and happily cancel something if enjoying where I already am sounds better.
Because sometimes the best decision you make on vacation is deciding not to do everything.
And I'm always asking:
Travel has always been about more than checking places off a list for me.
I love discovering how a place feels—the food, the language, the neighborhoods, the rhythms of everyday life and the small details that help you understand a culture rather than simply pass through it.
That curiosity eventually became Born A Nomad: a way to use what I've learned from my own travels, along with professional research and planning, to help other people experience the world in a way that feels personal to them.
I don't believe every traveler needs the same hotel, itinerary or definition of a great vacation.
Some people want to see everything. Some want a beautiful beach and absolutely no responsibilities. Most of us fall somewhere in between.
Born A Nomad is the result of a lifelong love for exploration, food, culture, and the little details that make a trip unforgettable. I design travel experiences the way I like to travel - thoughtfully, curiously, and with a touch of indulgence.
